The 2009 British Informatics Olympiad final took place at Trinity College, Cambridge, from 27-29 March.
The competition consisted of three stages.
On the evening of Friday 27th, students were helped to get working with their compilers with a practice programming question (not graded).
On the morning of Saturday 28th, two written questions were set:
In the afternoon, students sat the following programming exercises:
Languages available were C/C++ and Delphi. Students were advised, at the start of the programming session, that they did not need to attempt all of the questions.
