The 2015 British Informatics Olympiad Final

The 2015 British Informatics Olympiad final took place at Trinity College, Cambridge, from 27-29 March.

The competition consisted of three stages.

On the evening of Friday 27th, one written question was set:

• Steganography (pdf) (1 1/2 hour) - structured question-and-answer task.

On the morning of Saturday 28th, students were helped to get working with their compilers with a practice programming question (not graded).

During the afternoon, students sat the following programming exercises:

• Riverbank (pdf)
• I Spy (pdf)
• Sesquicentennial Redux (pdf)
• MaSKeD (pdf) (text)

The language available was C/C++. Students were advised, at the start of the programming session, that they did not need to attempt all of the questions.
